  1. From the Start menu, choose Control Panel

  2. Note: If you are running Windows XP in classic mode, your will need to select the Start menu, select Settings, then choose Control Panel 

  3. Click the Switch to Classic View icon. 

  4. Double-click the Network Connections icon. 

  5. Click the Create a new connection icon. 

  6. Click the Next button. 

  7. Select Connect to the Internet
  8. Click the Next button. 

  9. Select Set up my connection manually
  10. Click the Next button. 

  11. Select Connect using a dial-up modem
  12. Click the Next button. 

  13. In the ISP Name field, type OCII to identify your connection.
  14. Click the Next button. 

  15. In the Phone number field, type 4091807. 

  16. Click the Next button. 

  17. In the User name field, type your OCII user name.
  18. In the Password field, type your password. 
  19. In the Confirm password field, type your password. 
  20. Uncheck the box next to Use this account name and password when anyone connects to the Internet from this computer
  21. Check the box next to Make this the default Internet connection
  22. Uncheck the box next to Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection
  23. Click the Next button. 

  24. Check the box next to Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktopif you wish to have a shortcut to the connection on your desktop. 
  25. Click the Finish button. 

  26. Close all windows. 
  27. To connect to the Internet Click on Start then Internet.

You have successfully created a Dial-up Connection in Windows XP.
