How Does It Work?
VoIP can be provided as an individual line using a VoIP phone adapter. You can still use your own home phones... no need to plug in to your computer. VoIP utilizes the high speed internet infrastructure to provide dial-tone. The benefit is that you can connect to the phone system and have Voice Mail, Call Display, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Sim Ring, Voice Mail to Email and Unlimited North America long distance all at one low monthly rate. You can also keep your existing phone line if you are in a major rate center, or pick a number in most major rate center across Canada and in select cities in the US.
How Much Does It Cost?
There is a one-time upfront setup fee of $100. This covers the cost of the VoIP adapter. Residential VoIP services are $30 for the first 3 months, then $40 per month therafter.
